Hey everyone! My name is Garris and this is the first time I’ve ever made a blog!
I’ve lived in Wilmington for a little over three years now, and although I still don’t consider myself a “beach girl”, I do love this town! I just saw the Opera House Theatre Company’s production of Les Miserables at Thalian Hall last week and bawled my eyes out.
I grew up as an army brat, which I think is part of the reason why I love to travel so much as an adult now. Making the commitment to stay in one place for four years to finish college was a huge one for me. People always ask, “Where are you from?” and I never know what to say! I’m sure you other army brats know what I’m talking about. I generally just name the last place I lived in- which was Bergen County, New Jersey. Go ahead, make your Jersey jokes, I can take it haha 🙂
No, I don’t know anyone from The Jersey Shore or from the mob… but I do use JWoww’s tanning lotion and my heart did sink a little when I heard that James Gandolfini past away. With all seriousness though, I did love living in New Jersey and only being ten minutes from the GW Bridge & the city. But I think every town has something to offer, and a place is what you make of it.
